THIS week; one of the questions we get asked a lot. Just how do we keep our residents entertained?

The keepers, led by Emma, our enrichment guru, do this in all sorts of ways, from varying up feeding times and methods, to introducing strange scents into the enclosures.

All meant to encourage natural behaviour.

Siamangs Elf and Indra were treated to a puzzle feeder this week and they entertained themselves for a good part of the afternoon inspecting, and reinspecting, what was behind hidden the doors.

Spider Monkeys Juno and Alex were similarly entertained with their puzzle feeder too.

Over in World wide Safari on a particularly muggy day, Black Swan Bruno opted in to an inpromtu shower and Andean bears Zippy and Mona enjoyed some interesting scent sacks!

Elsewhere, Our red pandas met a red admiral, Red Kangaroo Jasmine has a Joey in pouch and the glossy ibis chicks are growing well.

This coming Saturday we will be joined by those who supported us throughout lockdown for our Big Thank You event, plus special guest springer spaniel Indy who will be helping us celebrate world rhino day.

And finally this week, a massive happy twelth birthday to giant otter Carlos.
