IT was another successful week for parkrun's across South Cumbria, with hundreds of eager runners turning up at the Barrow, Ford Park, Rothay Park, Millom and Fell Foot courses.

119 people took to the Barrow parkrun course, with 12 achieving new personal bests.

First to cross the finish line for the men was Ryan Toomey in a new personal best of 18.49, in second place was Luke Bennett in 19.52, and in third place was Gareth and Rio Davies in a new personal best of 19.59.

The first of the women to cross the finish line was Helen Taylor in 21.08, in second place was Karen Ann Maggio-Poyntz in 21.55, and in third place was Heather Travis in 21.56.

Ulverston's Ford parkrun saw 99 people take part, with 20 reaching a new personal best.

The fastest man to complete the course was Duncan Eley in a new personal best of 18.46, second was James Maher in a new personal best of 19.22, and third was Patrick M Good in 19.29.

The fastest woman on the course was Lisa Miles in 25.08, second was Lucy Zaboklicka in a new personal best of 26.09, and third was Catherine Fox in a new personal best of 26.10.

Rothay Park parkrun saw 82 runners take to the course at the weekend, with 12 new personal bests set.

The first man to finish was Jonathan Escalante-Phillips in 16.39, second was David Barnett in 17.49, and third was Tom Valentine in a new personal best of 17.52.

The first woman to finish was Izzy White in 22.55, second was Vanessa Anthony in 23.12, and third was Carrie Day in 24.13.

284 people took to Fell Foot parkrun, with an impressive 51 new personal bests set.

The first man to finish the course was Thomas Lynn in a new personal best of 18.18, next was Sean Roberts in a new personal best of 18.43, followed by Will Moses in a new personal best of 18.57.

The first woman to cross the finish line was Lauren Booth in a new personal best of 21.08, next was Melissa Metcalf in 21.56, followed by Laura Phillips in 22.19.

Over at Millom parkrun 51 runners took part, with 20 new personal bests set.

The fastest man of the day was Mark Tomkinson in 17.35, in second place was Max Hazlehurst in a new personal best of 19.23, and in third place was Oliver Taylor in a new personal best of 19.35.

The fastest woman of the day was Rachel Read in a new personal best of 24.51, in second place was Tracy French in a new personal best of 25.08, and in third place was Hannah Wright in a new personal best of 25.16.

Parkrun organisers thanked all of the volunteers who make the 5k events possible.
