CUMBRIA Police have issued further detail on a crash which saw a car hit a tree.
Police are investigating the road traffic collision which occurred at approximately 3am on August 30 on the A5093 at The Green, Millom.
Cumbria Constabulary previously said the car was black but have corrected that to say a red Vauxhall Astra was involved in the collision, leaving the driver with serious injuries.
A spokesman said: "The driver, a man in his 30s from Broughton in Furness was initially taken to Furness General Hospital but has since been transferred to Royal Preston Hospital.
"Officers are seeking witnesses who saw a black Vauxhall Astra in the area during the night to make contact.
