PARKRUN'S across South Cumbria saw a great turnout at the weekend.

142 runners took part in Barrow parkrun, with 15 achieving a new personal best (PB).

Finishing first for the men was Sean Roberts in 18.42, followed by Callum Bond in a PB of 18.55, who was followed by Ian Sadler in 20.01.

The first woman to cross the finish line was Karen Ann Maggio-Poyntz in 22.33, next was Hilary Hennah in 23.25, followed by Camille Askins in 23.41.

There were 69 runners in Millom, with19 new PB's.

The first of the men to finish was Gavin Lloyd in a PB of 17.39, next was Gary William Dover in 18.29, followed by Stephen Gascoigne in 19.19.

First for the women was Sharon Dixon in 21.20, next was Joanne McLeod in 23.20, followed by Lauren Nuttall in a PB of 24.23.

70 runners took part at Ford parkrun, with 11 PB's recorded.

The first of the men to finish was Bryn Reynolds in 19.08, second was Ronnie Haddow in 20.13, and third was Adam McGinley in 21.04.

The first of the women was Rebecca Wren in 23.02, second was Iona Barrowdale-Smith in a PB of 25.02, and third was Krysia Smith in 25.11.

308 runners took to the course at Fell Foot, achieving 38 PB's.

First of the men was Ben Brereton in 17.33, next was Mark Hodgson in 17.54, and next was Lee Dickens in 18.08.

Sophie Cowin was first for the women in 20.32, followed by Amelie Aylesbury in 20.38, and Candice Louise Heys in 21.08.

165 runners turned out at Rothay, with 12 setting a new PB.

First for the men was Matt Jervis in 18.30, second was Chris Walker in 18.57, and third was Aidan Tanner in 19.06.

First for the women was Joasia Zakrzewski in 20.30, second was Carol Baker with a PB of 21.24, and third was Alice Budge in 21.28.
