BARROW AFC have confirmed that tickets for their Carabao Cup tie against Aston Villa have sold out.

The Bluebirds are delighted to see the supporters getting behind their team and said it will be 'a night to look forward to'.

A spokesman for Barrow AFC said: "Season Ticket holders and Bluebirds Trust members were given priority windows earlier in the week before remaining tickets went on sale online first thing on Saturday morning.

"Fans flocked to snap up their tickets for the tie against the Premier League outfit and it was declared a full sell-out at 2pm after an astonishing FIVE hours of sales.

"We would like to thank you for your support and look forward to welcoming everyone who bought a ticket to The Dunes Hotel Stadium on Tuesday evening."

The Bluebirds progressed after overcoming Scunthorpe United at Holker Street on Tuesday evening.

The draw was made on a regional North/South basis, with Premier League clubs who are not competing in UEFA competitions entering at this stage.

It is a 340-mile round trip for supporters of the Birmingham club, and many hit out at the 'localised' draw, asking why they had to travel so far at the time of the draw.
