A GORILLA that has brushed shoulders with the likes of Judge Rinder returned to Barrow to spread laughter ahead of a Rave Bingo event.
Nigella the Gorilla burst onto the Barrow scene last January when a member of the public contacted police, fearing that a gorilla was on the loose in the town.
This time the gorilla was back in a family-sized swimming pool dancing along to Macho Man, made famous by the Village People. They were even armed with a water pistol to help people cool off in the sweltering heat.
Who's Bingo, the company behind Nigella, are hosting a Rave Bingo night at the Nines in Barrow on August 29 - a night which is said to bring 'naughtiness and mayhem',
Adam Robinson, boss of Who's Bingo, the company behind Nigella, said: "It caused such a laugh last time that we thought we'd come and do it again.
"We often give away family sized swimming pools so we had one kicking around, so I said should we go to Barrow and have a laugh.
"The best part about it it makes everyone laugh. I love standing on the other side of the road just out of eyesight watching peoples reaction to it.
"When I see people laughing it just makes it worth it, especially after the past year. It's great to see people laughing at stupid things again.
"Some people drove around a few times to give him a beep. Even when the police went past they were dancing along with the gorilla!"
