A SPLASH of rain didn't dampen spirits at an Ulverston festival.
Kicking off with a virtual event last Friday before taking to the outdoors the day after, Furness Tradition Festival did not disappoint. Story tellers, musicians and dancers captivated audiences both at home and around Ulverston.
Gordon Jones, Chair of Furness Tradition, said: "People seemed to enjoy it and it all went very well. The story telling was really nice up at Ford Park and the people involved did lovely work. The three performers at Market Cross were really good and there was nothing but positive reaction from people who saw it. There was a splash of rain but we've seen a lot worse - in 23 years we've only had one where the weather was bad enough to retreat to the Coro Hall!"
