A NEW team of executive officers for the Westmorland & Lonsdale Conservatives Association has been named.

Four councillors were chosen for the roles as the group gears up to respond to major local government reorganisation, the parliamentary constituency boundary review, and fight forthcoming local elections, including a by-election to the Grange ward of South Lakeland District Council (SLDC).

Cllr Pat Bell, member for Kendal Rural ward on SLDC, is the new Chairman, the first woman in the role for almost 20 years, taking over from SLDC councillor John Holmes. Cllr Kevin Holmes is confirmed as Vice Chair Political, and Cllr Kevin Lancaster is Vice Chair Financial, or association treasurer. Cllr Roger Bingham continues in his role as Association President.
