ENDURANCE athlete Sean Conway will be running in the Lake District next month as part of his marathon challenge.

Running 15 marathons in 15 different national parks across 15 days, Mr Conway is set to visit the Lakes on June 7.

Starting on June 4 at Cairngorms, Mr Conway will be looking to finish his challenge at Snowdonia on June 18 after visiting the Peak District and Brecon Beacons on his way.

Mr Conway says the challenge will look to spread awareness about the UK’s national parks.

He said: “We are so incredibly lucky to live on such a beautiful island and I want to share how rich and diverse it is, and how important it is to look after it as more of us will be exploring closer to home this year. I’d love for you to come and run with me. Most routes involve laps so you don’t need to run a full marathon, just come and have a day on the trails to spur me on.”
