A CAMPAIGN to help with the education of girls in Africa is looking for donations.
Barry Doughty, chair of Dalton Community Association, said that with his links to the Active Youth Initiative for Social Enhancement (AYISE) and the Marcel Chisi Foundation, which focuses on bettering the lives of youths in Malawi, they will be sending educational supplies to the south-east African country in a fortnight.
Mr Doughty said: “I’ve been getting secondhand computers and phones and some children’s equipment which I’m shipping out to Malawi.
“We are looking for donations of things such as secondhand laptops.”
If you would like to donate, the drop-off points include Dalton Community Centre and Dalton Town Hall.
