A SHOCKING discovery was made on a beach near Ulverston.
A walker discovered a dead jellyfish the size of a large boot washed up on the shores of Wadhead Scar near Bardsea.
The clear jellyfish was discovered by an Ulverston resident during a walk on the beach on Wednesday afternoon.
Last summer, Millom Coastguard issued a warning after large numbers of jellyfish were sighted along the Cumbrian coastline. A majority of the sightings had been pinpointed to Silecroft.
