A GYM smashed its daily record of users this week.

Ironwerx Gym in Barrow saw 222 members come through the door as it reopened on Monday.

Owner Keith Devlin was delighted to beat the previous record of 212.

He said: “It was an unbelievable day really. It just shows that people have got confidence in the gym, myself and the booking system I have put in place.

“12 new members walked in on Monday and they told me that they liked what I was doing to keep them safe because people are still quite nervous about coronavirus spreading.”
