THE MAIL readers have had their say after 'drinking parties' were found to be reportedly taking place near a rural beach.

Askam residents said they are 'extremely concerned' about the dangers caused by parties taking place around the Blacks Pond area. A spokesman for Askam & Ireleth Information Page is calling on parents to intervene if their child is partaking in 'irresponsible' behaviour.

David Armstrong said: "It appears to be an English tradition! No, not the picnic or campfire.. The leaving the mess behind!!!!"

Anthony Perkins said: "Coronaidiot types who deliberately stick two fingers up at the law, show no respect for authority, question everything and rebel against rules and regulations!"

John Woodford said: "DNA swab the mouths of all the cans, then prosecute!"

Boring 10 said: "Something needs to be done with teens. Do parents know where they are and should they not need to distance? Do them for breaking lock down rules if it was you or me we would be fined."

frankie47 said: "These youngster can carry their beers, etc but cannot clear up after themselves. There would not be too much of a problem if they didn`t leave such a mess. Take bin bags and there is no problem but these people are of an opinion that it doesn`t matter. Do they want to live in a rubbish strewn place? I don`t for one."
