FIRE crews were called out to a play park after a person became trapped in a children's swing.

Firefighters arrived at Tram Lane in Kirkby Lonsdale yesterday to rescue a person trapped in a children's swing.

The person was rescued using small tools and a hydraulic pedal cutter.

Crews were in attendance for approximately 45 minutes.
