Residents across South Lakeland are being invited to take part in physical activity sessions aimed at encouraging people to move for health.
Move for Health is a programme of free physical activity sessions specifically aimed at increasing movement and activity levels for those with a long-term health condition.
Thanks to funding from the Morecambe Bay CCG Population Health fund and supported by Active Cumbria and the South Lakeland Health & Wellbeing Partnership, sessions will start this month.
Kelly Alty, development officer from Active Cumbria, said: “We know that the past 12 months has had a significant impact on activity levels for particular groups of individuals, and even more so for those that have been required to self-isolate or shield.
"Our programme aims to help those with an existing health condition to increase their activity levels gradually supporting them to improve their mobility and confidence as they prepare to venture out once more."
