As we embark on the long Easter weekend, it’s likely many of us will be getting behind the wheel to visit family and friends for the first time in several months.

At Green Flag we have been expecting more than 6,000 breakdowns to take place over the long weekend, with Good Friday the worst affected day with six breakdowns to happen every minute.

Furthermore, with the predicted onset of colder weather towards the end of the weekend, we can potentially expect an additional 20 per cent increase in breakdowns.

We therefore urge drivers to be careful when getting back in their cars this weekend and prepare for your journeys, particularly if you haven’t driven for a while. We want you to stay safe and have successful visits to family and loved ones, and in the event a breakdown does occur, Green Flag will be there to recover you and your car at the roadside.
