PUBLIC toilets are currently closed to undergo refurbishment.
The Gill public toilets in Ulverston are temporarily shutting while a number of changes are made to the site.
These includes a new slate roof, new doors and new sanitary ware.
A spokesman for Ulverston Town Council said: “A new slate roof is being installed on The Gill public toilets this week, which means the toilets be closed during this time.
“The town council will be providing a portaloo throughout this period.
“Shortly after this, new doors will be fitted on all of the cubicles to enable payment by swipe, but with one toilet retaining its cash facility.
“The final section of the work will be a complete refurbishment of all three cubicles including new sanitary ware.”
