IT’S no secret that Cumbria is home to some truly beautiful- and sometimes pricey- properties.

Figures from Zoopla suggest that the average property price in the county is £189,786- but some homes can fetch much more than these, even creeping into the millions.

With the help of Zoopla, we have tracked down some of the most expensive streets and areas in the county of Cumbria- and can also reveal how much a house could cost you if you chose to live on these streets.

We have also narrowed down that search and have found the most expensive streets in Barrow too.

The 10 most expensive streets in Cumbria

According to the Zoopla data, Windermere reigns supreme when it comes to the highest value streets, occupying seven out of ten rankings.

These figures are based on the average property value in a given area.

According to the data, the highest value street in Cumbria is Newby Bridge Road in Windermere.

The average property value on this street is an eye-watering £1,583,146.

However, some properties on the street have sold for much more than this in the past.

One five bedroom property last sold for £1,850,000 and has a current upper estimated value of £3.36m.

In second place is  Old Hall Road in Windermere, where the average property value is £1,276,550.

One of the pricier properties on the road was last sold for £1,650,000 and has an upper estimated value of £3.48m.

Ambleside also features twice on the list, with Great Langdale coming in at fourth.

This average property price on this street is £1,064,247 and the average value of the street has increase by 4.63 per cent in the last 12 months.

One of the more expensive properties on the street sold for £2.8 million a few years ago and has a current estimated value of £2.7 million.

Manesty in Keswick also makes a brief appearance on the list- it is rated as the sixth highest value street in Cumbria.

The average property price on this street is £1,001,551.

However, homes on the street have been known to sell for upwards of £1.2 million.

According to the Zoopla statistics, Holbeck Lane in Windermere is in tenth place- but the average property price on the street is still an eye-watering £955,311.

One house sold for £700,000 but now has an upper estimated value of £1.37 million.

The most expensive streets in Barrow

Using data from Zoopla, we have also tracked down the highest value streets in and around Barrow.

The average property value in Barrow is £139,747 (according to Zoopla)- these five listing are at least  £294,000 higher than this.

1. The Gardens

According to Zoopla, this is the street with the highest value in Barrow.

The average property value on the street is £605,696.

One of the highest value homes on the street sold for £325,000 more than a decade ago.

Now, the property had an estimated value of £601,000-£734,000.

2. The Crescent

Would you ever be tempted to buy a house in the second most expensive street in Barrow?

It’s unsurprising that this street is second on the list as it branches off from The Gardens.

The average property value in The Crescent is £452,736.

3. Monks Croft Avenue

The average property value on Monks Avenue is £446,449.

One of the pricier homes on the avenue has an upper estimated value of £577,000.

4. Thorncliffe Road

On Thorncliffe road, the average property value is £442,346.

One of the most expensive sales on the road was for £380,000 and this property now has an upper estimated value of £455,000.

5. Croslands Park

This may be the last listing, but the average property value on this street is still a sizeable £434,657.

Properties on this street have been known to sell for as much as £470,000 and one house can be worth as much as £600,000.
