A DRUG driver has found herself back before the court for the third time in five months.

Hannah Woodend was ordered to pay a sizeable fine and banned from the road when she was convicted of another drug driving offence.

The 20-year-old admitted that she drove her BMW on the A590 near Arrad Foot with a THC, a breakdown product of cannabis, in her system.

South Cumbria Magistrates' Court heard that Woodend had 3.9 micrograms of the substance in a litre of blood - over the legal threshold of 2ug - following tests by police.

The court was told the offence was committed on July 3.

Magistrates, led by chair of the bench Charles Crewdson, told Woodend to pay a fine of £400 for the offence.

She was also banned from holding a driving licence for 36 months.

On top of that she was told to pay a victim surcharge of £40 and court costs of £85.

Woodend was last in court in December after she drove by Ulverston canal while over the legal threshold for THC.

In September she also admitted driving with the cannabis in her system and driving without due care on the A590.
