MUSICAL Cumbrians are invited to join like-minded people in the North West to get involved in Make Music Day 2021.

The celebration happens on June 21 each year, with over 120 countries getting involved.

People, groups and organisations from Cumbria and the North West are invited to a meet-up on February 24 to find out how they can bring the party to their community.

At the meet-up, attendees will find out about what Make Music Day is and the different ways they can be involved. They will hear from co-hosts Cumbria Libraries and Liverpool Libraries about their own creative and music-related activities and how they've been involved in previous Make Music Days.

There will also be the opportunity to meet other people involved in music-making in the North West and potentially make some new connections.

The Make Music Day team will also be there to share details about forthcoming trainings, tools and know-how so everyone can run their own music-related activities.

The Make Music Day team said: "We’re hoping that this meet-up will spark some fab ideas about ways to make Make Music Day 2021 the best yet and you’ll leave with plans as to how you can fill homes, streets, the Internet and communities with music on June 21."
