Last week I entered my details into a Covid vaccine date calculator to see when I could expect to be vaccinated.
The timescale give was between two to three weeks as my position in the queue was between 1.7m and 2.8m.
Obviously, I knew that my turn would come eventually and I would be notified.
To my surprise, less than a week later, early Saturday morning my phone pinged with a message from Ulverston Health Centre inviting me to make an appointment.
This I immediately did and was processed and vaccinated by 1.55pm the same day. Wonderful service and organisation.
I was met by a team of happy, smiling people all doing a sterling job.
I thanked the people who dealt with me directly and they didn’t fail to mention that without the volunteers it would not be possible.
So, from me to all those who are involved in this valuable and epic work, I would like to express my sincere thanks.
