Police have issued a warning after reports of a man asking for access to properties.
South Lakeland District Police are urging the public to be vigilant after a number of reports of a man asking for access to properties to make adjustments or improvements.
A spokesman for Cumbria police said: "The man claimed that he was working for the housing association and the clients needed to pay the up front cost of the works and they would be reimbursed through their housing association.
"All housing associations have confirmed that the man has not been sent out by them.
"Anyone that has any more information about such incidents, should contact Cumbria police on 101."
