READERS will be able to take books out of libraries in Barrow and across Cumbria over lockdown thanks to a 'select and collect' service.
Libraries are able to put together packages of up to six books according to specified authors or genres. These can then be collected.
Among those sites offering the service are Barrow Library and Walney Library.
Cumbria County Council says computers are also available for 'essential use' - such as job applications - at these libraries and others across the county. Booking is, however, necessary to secure a 45-minute slot.
Visit cumbria.gov.uk/libraries-archives/covid19.asp for more information and to reserve a computer slot or order books for collection.
