AN INDEPENDENT zero-waste company is offering free local home delivery on its products during lockdown.
Cut the Wrap in Ulverston, which is a shop offering package free groceries, has announced it will not be charging for local home deliveries for the duration of the third national lockdown.
The business also confirmed that its store on Upper Brook Street will remain open, as it sells essential items.
A spokesman said: “Because we want to do everything, we can to help you keep safe and stay home, we've waived our local delivery fee for home delivery.
“Don't worry, we're still open in store too.”
Cut the Wrap recently unveiled its brand-new website on November 30, increasing the reach of its wide range of more environmentally friendly products.
The family run business was founded by Cat Moffatt with her husband Paul Moffatt in 2018, when the couple decided to start the business after feeling increasingly frustrated at how difficult it was to cut down on their plastic and food waste.
Offering a completely package free service, customers can bring their own tubs and containers to be filled up with items including pasta, rice and beans.
There are also recyclable paper bags available if customers forget their own.
Other items for sale include toiletry refills, toothbrushes made from bamboo, shampoo bars, sanitary products, cleaning products, water bottles, coffee cups and much more.
