OVER a dozen people have been caught having sex in a public place across Cumbria.

Figures indicate that in the south of the county, there were four people caught committing an act outraging public decency, four people were caught in North Cumbria, and in the West of Cumbria, six people were caught.

Jay Follow said: "Unless they're outright whipping their clothes off beside a children's play park or something, why does anyone feel the need to call the police? Probably someone with nothing else to do and who should mind their own business.”

Steve Billows said: "It's far too cold for that malarkey at the moment. I at least expect people to wait until it warms up a bit."

William Snaps said: "When you consider the typical weather in Cumbria, it makes you proud to be British."

Simon Kent said: "They forgot to say exactly where these places are, not that I'm interested of course. But a map reference would be helpful?"

Gary Larryington said: "At least up in Ormsgill it always takes place indoors, it doesn't matter who's house it is all new neighbours welcome, as they say it's always been a close-knit Community."

Colin Towns said: "This is what happens when you have an over-sexualised society where a key part of human interaction is just seen as a disposable pleasure without any real emotion investment. People will have sex and then never speak to each other again. Despite people looking for casual relationships, it’s really no way to find long term happiness. Treating people as a disposable pleasure isn't good."
