FIREFIGHTERS were called out to a building fire in Barrow.
Three fire engines from Barrow, Walney and Ulverston were dispatched to a building fire in the basement area of a three story terraced property.
Crews were called out at 6.20pm on Saturday evening and remained on the scene for approximately an hour and a half.
The property had extensive smoke logging throughout the building.
A spokesman for Barrow Fire Station said: "Firefighters from Barrow, Walney and Ulverston dealt with an incident in Barrow. "The fire was located in the basement area of the three story property with extensive smoke logging throughout the building.
"Crews used Breathing Apparatus to make a full search of the building and found all occupiers were out and safe."
The fire was extinguished using two hose reel jets and six breathing apparatus.
