CALL OUT: Mountain Rescue Teams called out to report
MOUNTAIN rescue teams were called out by police to a possible sighting of a person lost in the Lakes.
Coniston Mountain Rescue Team was dispatched to Old Man of Coniston on Sunday at about 5.35pm following a report made to Cumbria police.
Officers had been informed of a light which was stationary near to the peak of the Old Man.
A spokesman for CMRT said: "After deliberation, and in the absence of an incoming distress call, leadership decided not to call the team out, but to await any developments."
