A MAN from Walney has been fined and banned from the roads for cannabis possession and drug driving.
Jake Thomson, 22, of Duddon Drive admitted to driving on the A590 at Newlands over the limit for Delta -9-Tetrahydrocannabinol on May 27, as well as being in possession of a class B drug.
He was fined £100 for both offences and disqualified from driving for 12 months by South Cumbria Magistrates' Court.
He also had to pay a victim surcharge of £34 and £85 to the CPS, totalling £319.
Editor's note: A previous version of this story incorrectly stated Mr Thomson had been charged with driving with cocaine in his system. We apologise for the error.
