A DRIVE-IN cinema is returning to Furness to show Christmas films next month.

The cinema is returning to town following the success of a previous event run at Barrow Town Hall in September.

This time the location will be South Lakes Safari Zoo and on December 3 and 4, but this time the Small Town Big Screen will be showing: Polar Express, Elf, The Grinch, and Love Actually.

Charlotte Ducie, managing director at Experience Creators who are running the event, said: “We are coming back to the area as we had such a great response in September.

“We had lots of amazing feedback for bringing something exciting to the town at such a tough time, so we are over the moon to come back to Barrow to spread a little Christmas magic.

“We are going on a tour of the North West, visiting six different locations but we are very excited to kick things off in Barrow. We know that South Lakes Safari is a popular attraction, and they have the space for us to provide a great Christmas experience in their car park.

“We think it’s really sad that most Christmas festivities have been cancelled this year.

“With our Christmas drive-in Cinema families can sit safely in their car and enjoy some Christmas magic.

“We do know that there is currently always a risk of restrictions preventing an event from going ahead and we would like to make clear that all tickets will be refundable should this event be cancelled due to local restrictions.

“We expect these tickets to go fast as we are visiting for only two days this time, so we recommend getting them whilst you can!”
