A LAKE District chef has come up with a unique way to enjoy his luxury dishes at home this Christmas.
‘Simon Rogan at home’ has launched nationwide delivery of a five-course festive feast.
The brainchild of Simon Rogan, the acclaimed, multi-Michelin star chef behind restaurants L’Enclume in Cartmel and Aulis in London, is offering foodies the chance to pre-order his festive feast for delivery in the lead-up to Christmas and New Year.
All the dishes will be prepared in Cumbria.
The festive feast builds on the success of the Simon Rogan at home launched during the first lockdown in the Lakes.
Simon and his team are putting the final touches to a decadent and unique Christmas dinner of their own.
Simon’s menu will showcase seasonal twists on his signature style and dishes, while using produce harvested from his very own farm ‘Our Farm’ in the Cartmel Valley.
The experience begins with Simon Rogan’s iconic truffle pudding, followed by a roast onion broth with pickled onions and Westcombe cheddar. The choice of either Confit trout with cauliflower puree or Hen of Woods precedes a show-stopping main course of Norfolk Black turkey with all the trimmings. A meat-free alternative of Salt baked celeriac with glazed apple and wild garlic flowers is also available.
A classic Christmas pudding, created by Simon Rogan’s executive chef of the North-West Tom Barnes, rounds off the experience while homemade mulled wine, cider or an optional wine pairing is available to accompany.
Cheese & biscuits, mince pies as well as a ‘Christmas morning package’, consisting of a bottle of Exton Park Sparkling wine, smoked mackerel and horseradish cream,’ can also be added to the order. The dishes, which come in vacuum sealed bags, have been designed for hassle-free preparation, with only heating and plating required.
The Christmas menu is priced at £85 per person + a single £10 delivery fee.
The menu will be available for delivery between the December 18 and 23 (excluding Dec 20). Visit https://simonroganathome.co.uk/christmas
