PLANS: Proposals put forward to boost tourism in Barrow
A TOWN improvement group has put forward plans to boost tourism in Barrow.
Barrow BID has proposed a number of ideas in its meeting to promote more visitors to the town. These include a promotional video for Barrow to encourage tourism in the area, as well as a student campaign to attract more students to the town centre.
The group suggested working with Furness College to produce posters to help promote a 'Shop Barrow' campaign. A Christmas gift guide was also suggested for shops to attract festive shoppers.
