MORECAMBE Bay Partnership are relying on the help of the public to win funding for their latest project.
The organisation needs the votes of the public so they can win funding to 'fight the pandemic of plastic invading our shores'.
They said: "Your vote will help win funding for Morecambe Bay from an internationally renowned conservation charity. You will be banishing plastic from our beautiful coast and countryside."
They hope to use the funding for their 'Clear the Bay by Day' project, which will keep the shores of Morecambe Bay free of litter that can harm the environment and wildlife.
Clear the Bay by Day is battling other contenders in the 'Marine' category. In this category, all the projects are looking to clean up coast, ocean and sea bed from single use plastic and other waste, protecting wildlife and habitats
