SPORTS centres have reassured the public that it remains ‘business as usual’ despite news that Barrow is moving into stricter Covid-19 restrictions.
Hoops Basketball Centre in Thorncliffe Road, Barrow, said there would be ‘no change’ to its usual running of events which will be delivered in a ‘Covid-secure manner’.
A spokesman said: “There will be no change. Organised indoor team sports for U18 is unaffected.”
Dalton Leisure Centre also addressed how stricter guidelines will affect the centre.
A spokesman said: “As of this time we are are operating as business as usual, all “Covid Safe” booking procedures and restrictions remain in place as of our reopening.
“With our social distancing regulations, as well as strong cleaning practices and enforcement of the wearing of face coverings, we feel we are as secure as we can be and therefore a safe place for people to enjoy themselves while improving their physical and mental health and wellbeing.”
