SENTENCING: South Cumbria Magistrates' Court
A Dalton man has been fined and banned after admitting a drug driving charge.
Richard Askeen Lucas, 31, of Long Lane, Dalton, appeared before South Cumbria Magistrates Court on Thursday, where he admitted one charge.
The court heard that on April 27, this year, Lucas had driven on Cavendish Dock Road in Barrow, while he was over the drug driving limit after taking cannabis.
Magistrates in court banned Lucas for a total of 12 months.
He was also fined £250, ordered to pay a £34 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
