Josh Lillis has been confirmed as Barrow’s new player/goalkeeper coach.
The 33-year-old was a free agent following his release from Rochdale, where he holds the appearance record as a goalkeeper after playing in over 350 games for the club.
Lillis, who also boasts Rochdale’s clean sheet record, has now joined The Bluebirds as goalkeeper coach but will also offer competition to Number One stopper Joel Dixon.
The Derby-born star came through the ranks with Scunthorpe United and made his First Team debut for The Iron in a game at Millwall in December 2006.
He earned further senior experience with loan spells at Notts County, Grimsby Town and two temporary stints at Rochdale before he penned a permanent Spotland deal in 2012.
Lillis has been handed squad number 12.
