THE year is 1987 – the year Prince Edward left the Royal Marines just three months after joining, when Margaret Thatcher won her third general election and when hurricane force winds batter much of south-east England.
But what was happening at home? Here in our dip in our picture archives we found a nostalgic mix of Three-Peakers, safe cyclists and the presentation of a decidedly chunky computer that was state-of-the-art in its day!
