There are some beautiful gardens throughout the Furness area and a lot of hard work has gone into making them look that way.

The Mail is now giving you the chance to highlight your favourite feature of your safe haven away from what is an ever-changing world.

It could be a stunning flower bed you spent ages cultivating, or a beautiful fountain or pond that helps create the perfect landscape whenever you look out of your patio.

The Mail:

LIGHT IT UP: Vicky Seale of Town Street, Ulverston uses a full length mirror that brings light to her garden whatever the weather and gives the illusion of a waterfall being in what she calls her ‘hideaway’

The Mail:

NIGHTFALL: That same mirror provides some extra sparkle after the sun sets as it reflects light off the lanterns in Vicky’s garden

The Mail:

ENTRANCE: Vicky loves to read, talk to neighbours and sit among her plants, which include a bottle brush tree, an olive tree, a holly bush , azalea, bamboo, buddliea, honeysuckle and roses and extends to her back door.

The Mail:

SEA OF COLOUR: Barrow Park is providing a tremendous summery scene thanks to this variety of blooms that have been planted near the bandstand. This panoramic view was submitted by Kath Smith

The Mail:

RESTING: This dahlia, complete with butterfly, is just one of the many plants and blooms at Ford Park's beautiful walled Victorian garden in Ulverston, which is managed by their gardener, Val and supported by their volunteers

The Mail:

THRIVING: As well as being a truly lovely space, it provides fruit and veg for the café ‘Base by Elite Dinin’ and there is a small commercial nursery selling perennials, herbs and veg. The nursery is open Fridays and Saturdays 12-4pm.
