A WOMAN charged with perverting the course of justice is due to make an application for bail.
Eleanor Williams, 19, will have her case heard at Preston Crown Court on Wednesday.
She was remanded in custody earlier in the year after being charged with seven counts of perverting the course relating to false claims of rape and human trafficking.
Miss Williams, of Teasdale Road on Walney, is yet to enter a plea over the allegations. A provisional trial date of August 2 next year has been set.
The charges relate to allegations against five men.
Between October 2017 and January 2018 she is accused of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape and sexual assault which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.
Between March 2019 and October 2019 she is accused of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.
Between May 2019 and October 2019 she is accused of two counts of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.
Between June 2019 and July 2019 she is accused of two counts of making false allegations to the police and falsifying evidence about an allegation of rape and sexual assault which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.
Between July 2019 and October 2019 she is accused of making false allegations and falsifying evidence about an allegation of sexual assault and trafficking which had a tendency to pervert the course of public justice.
