A MAN was taken to hospital after a 'serious assault' in Barrow.
Police said the man sustained a serious injury to his face after being assaulted by two teenage boys close to the junction of Abbey Road and West View Road.
It happened at around 1am on Saturday.
The victim suffered a deep wound to the side of his left eye, requiring 10 stitches.
Both teenagers have been arrested and bailed. Anyone with information should call police on 101.
