The public has been urged to remember several rules when wearing a face mask.
The advice, shared by Cumbria Police, will increase the effectiveness of masks in protecting the wearer from coronavirus.
Advice included:
*Wash your hands before wearing it
*Change the face cover when it becomes damp or humid
*Never re-use without washing it
*Never share a face cover
Wearing a face covering will become compulsory in shops and supermarkets from Friday, July 24.
Anyone not adhering to the new rules may receive a £100 fine.
