Noah Manson said: "Nice catch, but why no mandatory ban for this scumbag? You or I wouldn’t get away with 10 points.”

Dave James said: “Hasn’t said she wasn’t banned. Judge said her licence 'was likely to be revoked', so in fact she will be off the road, and her insurance will be affected. I assume anyone who visits on a regular basis is now a carer, my view of a carer is someone who visits daily and perform some form of work. Drug driving no excuse, 3yr ban, 10 pts £1000 fine."

Bob Smith said: “Police need to do multiple daily checks down there, guaranteed they could bust someone every time. It’s renowned for drink drivers down at the bay horse, loads of people smoking the odd joint. Some lads in a silver car is always down there drinking and smoking dope. I walk the dogs down the canal so see it all. Not the pubs fault just morons who get away with it.”

Mike Ford said: “Another cannabis driving charge, yet again very small reading. The question should be was she driving while unfit to drive? Not how much is in her system as cannabis stays in your blood for up to 30 days, so you can have a few joints days before and still get done. Seriously this need looking at as drivers are totally fit to drive yet getting banned cause it stays in your blood. Many drivers are losing their licenses and some even jobs all because they smoke a plant that stays in your blood. It’s a nice catch, but why no mandatory ban for these people? You or I wouldn’t get away with 10 points.”

Jamie Black said: “I think it’s down to the fact cannabis is illegal still in this country. Unlike alcohol, which is legal, so has a limit, until then you run the risk, same as higher class drugs. She will be banned under the totting up procedure, six points max in the first two years. No sympathy for her. Hasn’t said she wasn’t banned though.”

Macca McGuire: “Can they start randomly checking the kids driving round Dalton too then. Smell of cannabis is the norm now.”
