A DALTON beauty queen has scored herself a place in the national finals of Miss Teen Great Britain.

Caitlin Marie Toal, a 16-year old who studies biology, psychology and mathematics at Barrow Sixth Form College, now holds the title of Miss Teen Cumbria 2020, and is ready to take the UK title.

Miss Toal will be representing Cumbria in the grand finals which will be held at the Globe, Blackpool Pleasure Beach, on October 27.

Miss Teen Great Britain will see contestants aged 16-19 battle it out for the coveted sash and crown.

Miss Toal said: “I honestly cannot believe it!

“I was in so much shock when I got the phone call.

“I just want to say the biggest thank you to everyone that has supported me so far and I am so proud to be representing Cumbria on stage in October, when hopefully all of the bad stuff is over and we can just celebrate.

“Good luck to all of my pageant girlies waiting to find out, you are all amazing and you have got this!”

An optional part of the Miss Teen competition is fundraising.

In February, Caitlin managed to raise a huge £1431.50 after holding a charity bingo night at Cloud 9.

The charity bingo night was held in aid of Together for Short Lives, the leading UK charity for life limiting and life threatening illnesses.

Caitlin is currently seeking out business sponsors to help aid her in getting to the finals.

The sponsorship could help towards outfits, beauty or any other way you believe that you could help the teen.

In return for sponsoring the beauty queen, your business logo and link would be displayed on the pageant website at www.missteengreatbritain.com.

The website will also include all of your details, up to and including October 2020.

Any company which sponsors Miss Toal will be mentioned on stage at the grand final and would also be promoted in the final brochure.

In addition to this, sponsors' marketing material will be distributed to all of the guests and finalists.
