BUILDINGS at BAE System, Barrow, have been closed after a second confirmed case of Coronavirus.

In a communication to BAE systems staff, seen by The Mail, it is revealed that a consultant who had been working on the Barrow site has also been diagnosed with Coronavirus.

Foundation House and D61 have been closed immediately for deep cleaning.

As a precautionary measure, access to Astute Boat 4 is now restricted to those performing safety critical roles.

These restrictions will also apply to the Wet Dock Quay and will remain in place until further notice.

Staff who may have come into contact with either confirmed cases have been identified and BAE systems are now in the process of contacting them to advise them to self isolate.
