THE great Cumbrian litter pick aims to repair the image of the Cumbrian landscapes.
Taking place on Friday 20 and Saturday 21 March, the litter pick is an opportunity for people of all ages to come and help restore the land to its rightful tranquil state.
Litter is known to scar the landscape, clog and pollute the waterways and causes harm to the wildlife.
The recent effect of storms Ciara and Dennis makes this action required even more.
In 2019, over one thousand people joined fifty litter picks across Cumbria and collected nearly three hundred bags of rubbish.
The litter pick will also come with a chance for one Cumbrian community or school to win £500 when signing up.
