Man suffers major trauma after A590 crash
A MAN was airlifted to hospital after suffering major trauma following the crash on the A590 this morning.
An ambulance was called at 7.48am this morning alongside an air ambulance.
A man in his mid-20s was taken to hospital for major trauma injuries.
Drivers faced severe delays after an accident near Swarthmoor at around 8am.
Motorists were asked to use alternative routes.
One motorist described the road as 'gridlocked'.
At 9.45am police confirmed the road had reopened.
