A DROP-IN advice session for Walney Island residents has been organised for Saturday, February 1 at the refurbished Round House community hub on Biggar Bank.
Walney Labour county councillors Frank Cassidy and Mel Worth will be on hand to deal with any issues people might be facing.
The hour-long session commences at 11am. There is no need to make an appointment, just turn up on the day.
Walney South councillor Mr Cassidy said: “We are grateful to Matt Blackburn, Elaine Roberts for making the venue available for our advice session.
“They have done a fantastic job in revitalising the former Chinese restaurant and it's an ideal space for us to meet with islanders who might need advice about difficulties they are having.”
Councillor Worth, who represents the residents of Walney North, said: “We will do our best to help people with any topic and we also welcome feedback from islanders who have ideas about how to improve our communities.”
