A MAN who drove his mother's car on the A590 has been convicted of driving without a licence.
Dan-Andrei Silter was appeared at South Cumbria Magistrates' Court on Wednesday after being stopped by police on the A590 near Kendal on January 1.
He was also found to have driven while more than twice over the legal limit for alcohol.
The 30-year-old, of Barretta Street in Sheffield, recorded a reading of 85 microgrammes in 100 millilitres of breath, over the limit of 35.
For both offences, he was fined a total of £400 and banned from driving 18 months.
