A PLAYGROUND construction company has raised more than a thousand pounds for charity.
Ulverston Mind benefitted from a £1,308 donation from Haverthwaite-based company Playdale Playgrounds.
Playdale’s business projects manager Dave Wilson, together with other members of the company, handed over the cheque which they had raised for the charity.
Playdale staff have organised events such as cake bakes and a ‘Total Wipeout’ competition held in Ford Park in 2018 to help raise money for charity.
As the person who nominated Ulverston Mind, Emma Simpson has spearheaded fundraising for the charity.
Ulverston Mind has benefited from two years of Playdale’s tuck shop profits.
Jan Quinn, Services Manager, and Helen Shacklady, Interim Chair, from Ulverston Mind expressed their gratitude for the ‘magnificent support’ from Playdale. She revealed this latest donation would help go towards their expanded counselling service.
