A WINDERMERE school represented the South Lakes in a cross-country championships.
Six athletes from Windermere School participated in the AA Cross-Country Championships.
Maya Baker, Bethany Saunders, Jonny-Lee Machell, Hector Westmoreland-Nicholson, Rowenna Hamilton and Lilian Lewis travelled to Carlisle’s Sheepmount Stadium to represent the South Lakes in the Cumbria Schools’ Cross-Country Championships.
Lilian and Rowenna ran took part in the Inter-Girls’ race, with Lilian finishing third overall and Rowenna finishing in the top half of the field.
Hector and Lilian have now been selected to run for Cumbria at the Inter-Counties’ event, to be held at Lowther Castle.
