A BARROW takeaway has received a top score in its recent food hygiene rating.
Starbay Chinese takeaway in Rawlinson Street has been awarded a five rating after being inspected by environmental health officers.
Barrow Borough Council officers inspected the takeaway on January 6 where it was deemed 'very good' in all areas.
These included the hygienic handling of food including preparation, cooking, re-heating, cooling and storage, the cleanliness and condition of the facilities and building and also the management of food safety.
The takeaway previously received a three rating when it was last inspected in December 2018.
Other takeaways which also have a five hygiene rating include: Ruby Chinese Takeaway, Barrow Takeaway, Sheng's Chinese Takeaway, Dragon City, Yung's Chinese Takeaway and Mr Sun's Takeaway.
